📜 Print Quality & Materials

  • Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 - 308 gsm

100% cotton paper with a smooth surface texture – guaranteed archival standards.

Photo rag meets the highest industry standards regarding density, color gamut, color graduation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper.

  • A giclée print is a museum‑quality reproduction created with archival pigment inks on fine art paper. The term comes from the French word gicler (“to spray”), describing the specialized inkjet process. Unlike standard prints, giclées are valued for their sharp detail, rich color, and longevity — often lasting a century or more when cared for properly. Giclée is the best way to produce archival reproductions of your fineart and photography.

  • All finished artworks are original hand‑drawn pieces created with traditional colored pencil. Labor intensive, time consuming, but it’s the only way I roll! I sometimes use digital tools during early concept exploration, but the final artwork is entirely created by hand.

  • Handle prints with clean, dry hands and avoid bending the paper. Display them in a frame behind glass, or acrylic, (highly recommend UV protected ) and keep them in a stable environment away from moisture and strong light.

  • The size listed in each artwork description is currently the only size available. In the future, additional sizes and options will be offered to give collectors more flexibility in how they display GemInEye Fine Art prints.

  • At this time, prints are shipped unframed so you can choose a style that best suits your space. In the future, GemInEye Fine Art will offer additional options, including framing and expanded sizes, to give collectors more flexibility in how they display their prints.

🗝️ Symbolism & Storytelling 🪶

  • My personal reflections as the artist are but one interpretation; the artwork itself invites your personal vision. However, these are my reoccurring thoughts for my series

    ~Oracle of Feathers~

    • Crown: Wisdom, sovereignty, higher knowledge

    • Skeleton key: Access to hidden truths, unlocking mysteries

    • Egg (whole or cracked): Fragility, renewal, beginnings

    • Feather: Freedom, individuality, spiritual connection

    • Moon: Cycles, guidance, mystery

    • Teapot / Cup: Hearth, home, resilience, reflection, and the rituals of daily life

    • Chalice / Goblet: Abundance, offering, spiritual nourishment, and receptivity

    • Chain / Bound object: Connection, tethering, or the tension between freedom and restraint

    • Orb / Crystal: Energy, clarity, transformation, and hidden power

    • Birds (painted bunting, crowned bird, etc.): Messengers, perspective, transcendence, and the beauty of diversity

    • Broken shell / fragments: Imperfection, resilience, and the beauty of mended fractures (echoing Kintsugi)

    • Keyhole / Lock: Mystery, thresholds, and the invitation to discovery

  • Yes. Some do directly and all are the voice of the artist. For example, Messengers From Patti honors the memory of a dear friend and the gifts of an enduring connection. Each piece in the Oracle of Feathers series carries both universal symbolism and personal reflection.

  • Birds embody freedom, perspective, and transformation. Their presence in the Oracle of Feathers series reflects both personal symbolism and universal archetypes.

🎨 Authenticity & Editions

  • Each print is hand‑numbered in pencil by my fine art printer, acting as my authorized representative. I personally maintain a private edition archive, ensuring every collector’s piece is tracked and verified.

This archive records the edition number, buyer name, and date of purchase, so your print is always connected to its place in the series.

Certificates of Authenticity will be introduced in future releases once my workflow is fully established.

  • Prints are hand‑numbered in pencil by my fine art printer, acting as my authorized representative. At this time, prints are not individually hand‑signed by me, but each edition is recorded in my private archive to ensure authenticity. Certificates of Authenticity, which will carry my signature, are planned for future releases.

  • Edition numbers are assigned sequentially as orders are placed, and I maintain a private archive to ensure accuracy. This means I cannot accommodate requests for specific numbers, but every collector’s piece is tracked and verified within the series.

🖼️ Care & Handling of Your Print

  • Handle with clean, dry hands. Hold the print by its edges or keep it inside the protective sleeve until framing. Avoid bending or touching the printed surface directly. *I highly recommend a pair of clean white cotton gloves any time a print is handled. As the artist, I wear a pair of white cotton gloves anytime I sign and package my prints to ensure I do not soil or transfer skin oils to the archive quality print materials.

  • Keep the print flat in its protective sleeve, away from direct sunlight, heat, or humidity. A cool, dry environment preserves the paper and pigments — a quiet resting place until display.

  • Use acid‑free mats and backing. UV‑protective glass or acrylic is recommended to shield against fading. May want to consider museum quality for high level protection. A simple, well‑made frame will preserve both the mood and longevity of the work.

  • Avoid prolonged sunlight, smoke, or damp conditions. Kitchens, bathrooms, and areas with fluctuating humidity are not ideal for archival prints.

  • Dust the frame with a soft cloth. Never use cleaners or sprays on the print itself. *Framers usually have special cleaners available or can tell you what is best to use. If unframed, keep it in its protective sleeve until ready to display.
