Kim Kelley ~ The Artist

Born in Oregon , Kim is finally building a new chapter rooted in art. After retiring from a long career in high tech, she returned to her first love of art. Picking up charcoals in 2019 after a 30-year pause, she then experimented with a range of mediums before finding her voice in colored pencil, where she continues to work today.

Working from her rural studio in Eastern Oregon, Kim’s art rises from lived experience, weaving mystical depth, ancestral memory, and symbolic presence into each piece.

Her Oracle of Feathers series features crowned birds and poetic fragments rendered in symbolic realism—realistic detail paired with emotional resonance and a touch of whimsy. She often incorporates the gleam of gold and silver alongside aged patina, creating visual contrasts that evoke time, memory, and transformation.

Kim’s work is known for combining common and unique elements in unexpected partnerships. Her pieces invite reflection and connection, designed not just to be seen, but to be remembered and carried forward. Kim brings the clarity and precision of her tech background into a creative process guided by legacy, independence, and emotional depth.
